Rik Isensee is the author of Shift Your Mood: from Reactive to Mindful. He is also a certified mindfulness teacher through the Mindfulness Training Institute, and a licensed psychotherapist (LCSW).
Rik completed the Advanced Practitioners Program and the Mindfulness Mentor Program at the Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre, California. He has led a dozen mindfulness-related workshops for a retreat center in Big Sur, California and has offered mindfulness support groups at the City College of San Francisco for several years. Most recently, Rik led mindfulness classes while serving as a counselor for the past fall voyage of Semester at Sea, a multi-country study abroad program on a ship sponsored by Colorado State University.
