Meet the 2024 headlining presenters of Holistic Holiday at Sea
Dr. T. Colin Campbell, MD
An American biochemist with a specialty in the effect of nutrition on long-term health, Dr. Campbell is best known for his fervent knowledge of low-fat, whole foods, plant-based diets, especially in their abilities to heal a variety of serious health conditions. As an incredibly consistent ambassador of this lifestyle, Dr. Campbell is known as the “science father” of the plant-based movement and has authored over 300 research papers and four books, including the iconic, sell-out report, The China Study. The publication documents Campbell’s findings as one of the lead scientists of the China–Cornell–Oxford Project on diet and disease, set up in 1983 by Cornell University, the University of Oxford, and the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine to explore the relationship between nutrition and cancer, heart, and metabolic diseases. The study was described by The New York Times as “the Grand Prix of epidemiology”.
Dr. Neal Barnard, MD
As the President of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, Dr. Neal Barnard is a leading expert in diabetes, chronic pain, and nutrition. Dr. Barnard has led clinical trials, authored over 100 scientific publications, and won many awards recognizing his excellence in the fields of diet and lifestyle-based medicine. He’s appeared in Forks Over Knives and What the Health, among other documentaries, and is well-known for his good-natured personality and engaging presentations.
Dr. Michael Greger, MD
Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Greger is a physician, bestselling author, a highly respected speaker on nutrition, food safety, and public health issues, and a graduate of the Cornell University School of Agriculture and Tufts University School of Medicine. A founding member and Fellow of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, Dr. Greger is licensed as a general practitioner specializing in clinical nutrition; he started NutritionFacts.org which has garnered an enormous following.
As a student, Dr. Greger wrote informally about bovine spongiform encephalopathy, commonly known as mad cow disease, and early in his career, Farm Sanctuary hired him to work on issues related to mad cow disease near Cornell, New York. Dr. Greger decided to become vegan after visiting a stockyard as part of his work at Farm Sanctuary. Dr. Scott Stoll
An up-and-coming practitioner and authority on nutrition and wellness-informed healing, Dr. Scott Stoll is known for his immersive retreat-like health programs. For over twenty years, Dr. Stoll has conducted week-long health intensives that provide his patients with the most current information and frameworks related to nutrition and diet, physical activity, and culinary education, as well as emotional support, coaching, and counseling.
Vegan chef, blogger, and cookbook author Jenné Claiborne joins the roster of all-star presenters during the next Holistic Holiday at Sea in March 2024. Nathan Crane is a bestselling author, inspirational speaker, award-winning documentary filmmaker, and certified holistic cancer coach!
